Hot topic: Novel discoveries in FGF23 Day 2, Friday, October 27, 08:30-10:00 / Room 3 (3F) Overview
The theme of this session revolves around the diverse actions of fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF23) in human metabolism. The first lecture will be delivered by Prof. Hirotaka Komaba, who will shed light on the new insights in chronic kidney disease-mineral bone disease. The second lecture will be presented by Prof. Nobuaki Ito, focusing on the differential diagnosis and treatment of acquired FGF23-related hypophosphatemia. Lastly, Prof. Kook-Hwan Oh will deliver a lecture on the association between FGF23 and cardiovascular diseases.

Symposium 4: Muscle & metabolic disease Day 2, Friday, October 27, 13:40-15:10 / Room 3 (3F) Overview
The theme of this session is the crosstalks between muscle and metabolic disorders. The first lecture will be given by Prof. Changhan David Lee, who will discuss the association between exercise-induced mitochondrial-encoded microproteins and muscle homeostasis. The second lecture will be presented by Prof. Won Kim, focusing on the association between nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and sarcopenia. Lastly, Professor Namki Hong will explore the role of sarcopenia in hyperparathyroidism.

The theme of this session is the latest insights into vitamin D supplementation and the treatment of parathyroid disorders. The first lecture will be presented by Prof. Seong Hee Ahn, who will provide an update on vitamin D supplementation. The second lecture will be delivered by Prof. A Ram Hong, focusing on hypoparathyroidism. Lastly, Prof. Kyoung Min Kim will share the latest insights on primary hyperparathyroidism.
